1. Headline: Don’t just put “Student at X College”. Use keywords: “CS Student | Full Stack Enthusiast (MERN) | Open Source Contributor”.
2. About Section: Tell a story. “I started coding because…” followed by your tech stack.
3. Experience: Even if you haven’t had a job, list your Hackathons, Volunteer work, and Leadership roles here.
4. Featured Section: CRITICAL. Pin your best 2 projects and your Resume (PDF) here.

What to Post? (Building in Public)

Don’t post generic “I am happy to announce…” certificates. Show your work.

• The “Learning” Post: “Today I learned how React useEffect works. Here is a small demo I made…” (Attach a video/GIF).
• The “Failure” Post: “I spent 4 hours debugging a CORS error. Turns out I forgot a backend flag. Here is how I fixed it.”
• The “Project” Post: “Just shipped v1 of my weather app. Tech stack: Python, Flask, Redis. Check it out here: [Link]”

Why this works: Recruiters want to see passion and communication skills. Posting about code shows both.

How to Connect

• Don’t spam generic requests.
• Add a Note: “Hi [Name], I saw your post about [Topic] and found it insightful. I’m a CS student interested in [Their Field]. Would love to connect!”
• Follow Companies: Follow the Engineering Blogs of companies you like (e.g., Uber Engineering, Netflix TechBlog).
